A.T. - VT 11 & 30 TO USFS 21/MAD TOM NOTCH – 5.5 MI.: Bromley Mtn. (3260'), observation tower w/ 360º views.

A.T. - USFS 21/MAD TOM NOTCH TO USFS 10 – 12.1 MI.:
Peru Peak & Big Branch Wilderness Areas, swimmable Griffith Lake, Baker Peak. Long drive & hike; expect to miss dinner.

A.T. - USFS 10 TO VT 140 – 8.5 MI.: Scenic, swimmable Little Rock Pond, White Rocks, Roaring Brook.

A.T. - VT 140 TO VT 103 (CLARENDON GORGE) – 6.3 MI.: Abandoned hillside pastures, views from Airport Lookout, impressive Clarendon Gorge.

A.T. - VT 103 TO UPPER COLD RIVER RD. – 5.4 MI.: Climb boulder-filled ravine to Clarendon Lookout. Old pastures, several brook crossings & one ford that is challenging in high water.

A.T. - UPPER COLD RIVER RD. TO US 4 – 12.2 MI.: Slabbing on steep slope, 0.1 mi. on steep spur to Killington Peak (4235'). Historic stone Gov. Clement Shelter & Cooper Lodge (highest on LT/AT in VT). Jungle Jct., Churchill Scott Shelter w/ accessible composting privy.

A.T. - US 4 TO RIVER RD. – 5.7 MI.: Deer Leap, Ben's Balcony, Kent Pond, new Thundering Falls AT reroute w/ accessible boardwalk.

A.T. - RIVER RD. TO STONY BROOK RD. – 6.6 MI.: 5.1 mi. AT, 1.5 mi dirt road. Very hilly, many steep sections & one short ladder. Constant ups and downs.

Old woods roads, overgrown pastures, hilly. The last 1.8 mi. of this section of AT is on paved road through scenic downtown Norwich, VT to CT River (state line), opposite Hanover, NH & Dartmouth College.
