Excursions Program Committee Member

Visit possible excursion venues and help determine a conference schedule for ATC 2009.
Need to be able to travel around Vermont using own vehicle on own schedule, to sites within 2 hours of Castleton, VT. Under direction of Excursion Committee Chair, at the end of the summer 2008, all volunteers will meet as a committee. A co-chair for the Excursions Committee may be recruited. (2-4 volunteers needed)
Excursion Leader (July 17 -24, 2009)
Lead a pre-determined excursion, facilitating travel and logistics between Castleton and the excursion site. Volunteers should have a familiarity with the excursion that they lead prior to the event. Volunteers who sign up early can pick the excursions of their choice. Those unfamiliar with what they choose, will need to scout their excursion prior to the conference. Leaders will be provided with free admission to the site and transportation. (15 volunteers needed)
Excursions Desk Attendant (July 17 -24, 2009)
Staff excursion desk and departure staging area. Help guests sign up for excursions and/or give them information on places to visit on their own. Volunteer should have some familiarity with all excursion venues and other places of interest within driving distance of Castleton or be willing to learn. Volunteer will staff the desk at busy times of day (hours TBD), every day during event. Volunteer is free to participate in any other conference activities when not at the desk.
(3-5 volunteers needed to work 3 or more shifts)
